Texting and Driving?
CU in our ER

Eagle 97.7 and Bayhealth Medical Center are teaming up to help prevent unnecessary injuries and death caused by texting while driving.

Did you know that texting while driving is about 6 times more likely to result in an accident than driving while intoxicated? People who text while driving are 23% more likely to be in a car accident. Each year, 21% of fatal car crashes involving teenagers between the ages of 16 and 19 were the result of cell phone usage.

Take the pledge now and save a life... maybe your own.

I pledge not to Text and Drive. Beginning right now I will do my part to help put an end to distracted driving by driving as responsibly as I can.
  • I will not text while driving.
  • I will not text while driving and will use a hands-free device if I need to speak on the phone while I am driving.
